Tagxedo – an alternative to Wordle?

I’ve found a new ‘wow – is this an incredible‘ blog. Freetech4teachers.com 

Not surprisingly, Richard Byrne (the author) has won multiple international awards  his work. Today’s stunner is an alternative to Wordle.

I like this line – Currently the gallery is under construction, and here are some tag clouds I made myself. Eventually users will be able to submit their artwork to the gallery (though it will be moderated to make this a kids-friendly place).

Wordle of BECTA Report on Emerging Technologies

Wordle is a superb resource, and can provide a terrific starting point for discussions. In In my earlier post I explained the need to beware of the screens you may see. A way to avoid this is to go straight to the creation screen http://www.wordle.net/create.

WORDLE Usage Notes

Wordle is a fabulous free resource and provides really stimulating outputs from your texts. The output can then be used for loads of different stuff, especially group discussion.
