What do educators need?

There was a note today on the Becta Safetynet digest* which you may be interested in.

Folks,

 I have an opportunity to input into Facebook in the US about what educators want from a UK perspective. WiredSafety, the charity I volunteer with, is one of the five members on the FB safety panel – here is the email.

 “We are working with a team to write a document about Facebook use for educators.  We’ve found an increasing need for guidance in best practices, both by teachers who want to help educate their middle and high school students in safe and effective use of social media and to find ways to integrate the educational potential of the site, and by administrators. 

 We know that you may have regular contact with people in the education world and so we wanted to solicit any issues or questions that you know of or have heard about.  If there were five top questions you think teachers would want to have answered, what are they?”

 I believe in the wisdom of crowds so if you have a view, I’d be happy to share it.
