Dad’s taxi service – 6:15am
So – what do you do at 6:45am on a beautiful Sunday morning after you’ve dropped your daughter at the coach station in Leicester. Back to bed must be the favoured option. Alas – so let’s see what joys the city has early on a Sunday morning.
Obviously – last night’s rubbish. I’m quite sure the fast food chain with the golden arches would say ‘We don’t make the rubbish, our customers do’ – but guess where they get the ammunition. What the picture doesn’t show is the city cleaning team who were working their way down past the old ‘Shires’ entry at the time.
Over the weekend, the city hosted a street market – with amazing smells and sites – here’s just a few oddities.
Now – here’s an intriguing site. Above this shop
There are these windows and reliefs ..
Nothing exciting there – until you look closer –
The original headquarters of Thomas Cook?
The detail on these reliefs is quite amazing – and wonderfully preserved.
1891 – showing the Forth rail bridge
1884 – a cruise up the Nile?
